In its crackdown against insurgents, security forces on Friday gunned down two militants of the outlawed National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in Kokrajhar district.
The security forces launched the offensive in Dimaguri village claiming two lives, sources said.
With this the total number of NDFB cadre killed in the last couple of days rose to five.
Two revolvers of .38 calibre, grenades and a couple of mobile sets along with ten rounds of ammunition were found from the site of encounter early on Friday morning, they said.
On June 10, two NDFB militants were shot dead by security forces in Udalguri district, while on Thursday another was killed in Karbi Anglong district.
The NDFB have engaged in violence and extortion recently for which an offensive have been launched by the security forces.
