Two Nepali nationals arrested for house break-in

india Updated: Jul 11, 2009 22:32 IST

Police have arrested two Nepali nationals, who were working as watchmen, for a house break-in.

Saroj Sahu and Narendera Thapa allegedly broke into the flat of one Mahesh Kothari in suburban Dindoshi last week and fled with booty worth Rs 37 lakh.

Kothari, a stock broker, was away at the time.

Sahu was arrested on July 9 on Indo-Nepal border, while Narendra was picked from Dindoshi only, said deputy commissioner of police Ajit Patil.

Four others who are suspected to have taken part in the break-in are yet to be traced.

Cash and valuables worth Rs 12 lakh have been recovered from Sahu and Thapa.
