Two private security guards posted at a shopping-cum-office (SCO) complex, which houses the Bajaj Allianz and Reliance Insurance offices, in Sector 29 here were found dead, police said on Friday.

Arvind and Anand, both aged around 25, were hit by sharp weapons at their necks by unknown assailants when they were manning the building last night, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Jagdish Naagar said.

The locks at Reliance office were found broken, Naagar said. After being hurt grievously, Arvind tried to contact his relatives using his mobile phone but failed to speak properly. Anxious relatives rushed to the spot and found both of them in a critical condition. The duo was taken to the civil hospital where they were declared brought dead by doctors.

Police have lodged the FIR under section 302 IPC against the unknown culprits and investigation is on, the DCP said.
Sector 29, located in the centre of the city has become a hotbed of criminal activities. Just two days ago, Praveen Chawla, a 26-year-old senior executive of a real estate firm was found dead in his WagonR car near Leisure Valley Park.
