Two suspected terrorists of the Hizbul Mujahideen, one of them a Hindu, were killed in a gun-battle with the police in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district early on Thursday.
Kuldip Sharma, better known as KK, and his ally were killed in Khilandi, a hilly and thickly forested area in the district.
Sharma, a police official said, was responsible for a series of terrorist activities and had been active in the area for some time.
The body of KK's accomplice is yet to be found and his identity has not yet been established.
Police sources say that it could have been Khalid Kashmiri, a dreaded Hizbul terrorist.
There are nearly 20 Hindu terrorists in Doda, Rajouri and Poonch - the Muslim dominated districts of the Jammu region.
