Two sisters were allegedly raped by in a village in Bihar's Banka district, a police officer said on Monday.
The sisters, aged 15 and 17 respectively, had gone to attend nature's call in a field in Asado village last night where they were allegedly raped by two men, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Headquarters, B K Das said.
After the girls did not return home, the kins launched a search for them this morning and found two of them lying unconscious in the field, he said.
After regaining consciousness, they narrated the brutal incident following which the villagers launched a search for the perpetrators and nabbed one of them, identified as Manzoor Ansari and mercilessly beat him up before handing him over to the police, the DSP said.
The other accused, Kalam Ansari managed to escape, Das said, adding, that the girls have been admitted to a government hospital for medical examination, he said, adding, that further action will be taken against the accused persons on basis of medical report, the DSP said.
