Two terrorists and a civilian were killed in Jammu and Kashmir where security forces busted four terrorist hideouts and recovered 19 kg of RDX since Friday evening, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
Two terrorists, yet to be identified, were killed in a gunbattle with security forces at Lashdat in Kupwara district on Friday, the spokesman said.
Two AK rifles, four magazines, 80 rounds, eight hand grenades and a wireless set were recovered from the slain terrorists, he added.
He said terrorists shot dead a vegetable vendor Ajaz Ahmed Hamal (26) at his house at Gani Hamam in Baramulla district on Friday evening.
On a tip off, security forces recovered 161 UBGL grenades, 22 anti-tank grenades, 419 detonators, one AK rifle, five magazines, 280 rounds, 16 IED boxes, 14 IED switches, one pika gun magazine, seven under barrel grenade launchers (UBGLs), two RCC bombs, 90 sniper rounds and 10 kg RDX from a hideout at Lashdat area in Kupwara, he said.
He said security forces unearthed two terrorist hideouts in Rajouri dictrict and recovered a huge quantity of arms and explosives, including nine kg of RDX.
A joint team of police and Army busted a hideout at upper Swari in Rajouri district on Friday and recovered nine AK-47 rifles and one pika gun. Another was busted in Mandir Gala forests of the same district and nine kg RDX, nine rifle grenades and two wireless sets recovered from it, he said.
Meanwhile, one terrorist was arrested and another surrendered before security forces, he said, adding police also recovered a pistol, a wireless set and a hand grenade at Boura Galli-Kandi in Rajouri.
