A train was allegedly stopped by supporters of Union minister for water resources Uma Bharti at Jhansi station after the minister was late by a few minutes, even as the authority denied such an incident.
The alleged incident occurred on the intervening night of March 8 and March 9 at around 12.15am when Gurudwara Express reached the Jhansi station.
As the minister was late by few minutes her supporters allegedly pulled the chain to stop the train. The train could leave only at 12.30am, sources said.
When contacted, public relation officer of North Central Railway Pavi Prakash said he had no information about any such incident. He said that there was no question of stopping a train for a minister.
