UP Govt comes to the aid of jobless youth

57,000 cheques of Rs 1000 each will be distributed among the youth at a function in Lucknow.

Out to create a history of sorts by granting unemployment allowance to jobless graduates of the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister will hand over cheques worth Rs 57 crore to 57000 such youths in Lucknow.

57,000 cheques of Rs 1000 each will be distributed among the youth at a function in Lucknow, Director, Information, Nitin Ramesh Gokan said on Friday.

The state government has implemented the scheme from this fiscal to give Rs 500 per month to the unemployed graduates of the state and the cheques to be distributed on Saturday would carry the allowance for two months -- April and May, he said.

Elaborate arrangements have been made and 57 enclosures of 1000 capacity each have been made to distribute the cheques there with one minister assisted by a secretary level officer, two gazetted officers and 10 employees having been deputed at every enclosure to distribute the cheques.
