UP: man, daughter hacked to death

A man and his daughter were hacked to death allegedly over a property dispute in Pallia area, near Lakhimpur, police said today.

A man and his daughter were allegedly hacked to death over a property dispute in Pallia area, near Lakhimpur in UP, close to the India-Nepal border, police said on Wednesday.

Dinesh Pal Singh (44) and his married daughter Rekha (24), residents of Banshinagar village, were hacked to death on Tuesday evening while they were standing outside their house, police said. It is alleged that a property dispute in the family was the motive behind the murders, added police.
