A 28-year-old woman was thrown out of a moving car by a man as she refused to marry him. She was found lying injured on the national highway in Mathura on Tuesday night. A case has been lodged against the accused who belongs to another community.
The woman’s brother lodged an FIR at Farah police station in Mathura. He alleged that Taufeeq Qureshi attacked his sister on Tuesday night. “Taufeeq hit my sister on the head with a heavy object and threw her out of the moving car before speeding off towards Agra breaking a toll plaza pole on Tuesday night,” he alleged.
“Taufeeq had been pressuring my sister to marry him and when she refused, he bundled her into his car. Later, he attacked her and thew her out,” he said.
The woman was admitted to Swarn Jayanti Hospital in Mathura. The woman, a post-graduate, worked as a school teacher till March 2016.
Shashi Pal Singh, in-charge, Farah police station, said an FIR had been registered and investigations are on.
