The UP government on Monday ordered probe into multi-crore national rural health mission (NRHM) scam. Seven panels under the chairmanship of senior IAS officers have been set up to investigate the alleged bungling of fund.
The committees would scan the expenditure of the fund in the financial year 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.
The secretary/director, information would probe into the expenditure of fund over publicity, the transport commissioner will look into the purchase of vehicles, commissioner food and drug administration will probe into purchase of drug, managing director Jal Nigam will investigate the purchase of water purifier, secretary health and family welfare will probe the purchase of instruments from UPSIDC, chairman, Board of Revenue will investigate into the utilisation of fund on national programmes and all the divisional commissioners will probe the construction of the hospitals and health centres in respective divisions.
A senior health department officer said the 4th common review mission of ministry of health and family welfare has audited the utilisation of fund under NRHM in the state.
