School boy beaten up

A senior student and a warden of Sant Asaram Public School in Agra allegedly beat up a junior student and then threw two of his relatives from the third floor of the hostel building when they tried to intervene. The duo was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital.

The incident occurred on Saturday when Ashutosh Sikarwar of Class 11 called his father and told him that a senior student Rohit and hostel warden Sushil Tiwari had beaten him up.

The father, Neeraj Sikarwar, reached the hostel along with relatives — Sonu and Jaiveer — to register a complaint against the other student. Ashutosh told his father that due to an argument Rohit had started beating him. The warden, instead of stopping Rohit, also started hitting Ashutosh. The latter then locked himself in the hostel room and opened the door only when his kin reached there.

While the victim and his guardians were discussing the issue, Rohit and the warden reached Ashutosh’s room, with a group of raucous students, and dragged them to the terrace and allegedly threw them from there.

Jaiveer and Sonu suffered multiple fractures, after which the father lodged an FIR against Rohit, Tiwari and other school staff at Sikandra police station.
