US co offers Rs 22.5-crore investment to RGPV

THE RAJIV Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) got an investment offer of Rs 22.5 crore for its proposed Knowledge Park project from a USA-based company Redberri Corporation during the recent MP Investors’ Meet at Khajuraho.

An ‘Expression of interest’ of US dollar five million was signed by chief executive officer of Redberri Corporation, St Louis, USA, Deepak Kant Vyas in presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Khajuraho. This signing of the agreement was made following a presentation on Knowledge Park made by the RGPV authorities.

Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur, Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi, PWD and Information Technology Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Urban Development and Environment Minister Jayant Malaiya, Agriculture Minister Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh, RGPV Vice-Chancellor Prof P B Sharma, Technical Education and Training Principal Secretary Dilip Mehra and coordinator of the Knowledge Park project Sanjeev Sharma were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Kant Vyas expressed happiness on the tie-up between Redberri and RGPV and mentioned that the knowledge power is what MP requires. He added that the partnership of Redberri and RGPV would equip MP with world-class facility for fostering a new era of innovation and knowledge enterprises.Prof P B Sharma said that a culture of research and innovation is absolutely necessary in technical education sphere of MP to attract knowledge industries to set up their enterprises in MP.
