Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday flashed the victory sign and gave the thumbs up as he arrived at parliament house on the morning of the trust vote day, a vote that will decided the fate of his government.
Manmohan Singh had flashed the victory sign on Monday as he walked into parliament for the start of the debate on his confidence motion.
However, on Tuesday morning the PM did not respond to media queries about whether the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was confident of winning the trust vote. He had expressed confidence on this point when coming out of parliament late Monday night.
The prime minister, with a smile write large across his face, was accompanied on Tuesday morning by his media adviser Sanjay Baru, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanswamy.
