Half of one’s problems arise because one is impatient. And, therefore, half of one’s problems can be solved or they will disappear on their own if one learns to be patient. Of course, it is easier said than done for most of us. But it is just a question of training of mind and reasoning out a problematic issue.
The desire for instant gratification is at the root of most of the cases when one gets into a problem because waiting a while in not taken into one’s way of life. If one learns to give time to wait and watch for a while, the outcome of most of problematic issues would be quite different.
First, one won’t get into a serious problem because one happened to be in a hurry. Second, waiting a while gives one the opportunity to be saner enough to be more reasonable and positive.
Patience is a virtue that can be cultivated for a less stressful life. For that one needs to have an attitudinal change. And the dynamics of attitudinal change involves certain steps like undergoing meditation, yoga courses and reading and writing seriously and mindfully.
If you don’t like something that is irritating and disturbing, you don't have to be angry because that would make the case worse. Just be a passive observer if you cannot take a positive and helpful stand. Normally, you have to see what could be
the best way out.
Experience shows that the first step that is most useful is to give yourself chance to ponder over it. And the issue will be taken care of.
There are different people with different ways of life, and they need not necessarily be your carbon copies. You cannot say that they are wrong and you are right. They too have as much right to have their way of life as you do. Therefore, the first lesson in life is to respect others for what they are. One who respects others gets respect in return and that is good reason enough for one to be happy in life.
And, I never forget to recall the beautiful saying that for every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness.
