AT LEAST the first two stanzas of Vande Mataram would be sung at over 5,000 madarsas in Madhya Pradesh to mark the beginning of centenary year celebrations of the national song's institution on September 7, the state madarsa Board said on Friday.
Following state government circulars, instructions were being issued to madrasas across the state for the recitation of Vande Mataram at functions organised to mark the day on September 7, said the board's registrar Sayyed Irshad Ali.
Claiming that the order would be followed in totality, he said: "Our motherland is like a paradise. Why should one have objections in saluting it?" District education officials had been asked to extend help to the board in ensuring that the recitation took place at madarsas in their respective areas, Ali said.
