Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda has said that Vande Mataram song will echo across the state on Thursday to mark the centenary of the national song's composition.
"Haan, sab gayange Vande Mataram (yes, everybody will sing the national song)," Munda replied on Tuesday night to a query if the singing of the song was mandatory.
During his address to party workers at the party office soon after he returned from Delhi on Tuesday, Munda called upon all BJP activists to recite the national song to celebrate its centenary.
According to BJP spokesman Ramesh Puskar, party workers would ensure singing of Vande Mataram at important public places at every district headquarters at 9 am on Thursday.
In Ranchi, the party leaders along with members of its minority forum would gather at the busy Elbert Ekka Chowk to sing the national song.
