Vehicles stolen, car smashed

A CAR and a motorcycle were lifted in separate incidents in the State Capital on the night intervening Friday and Saturday. According to police, the Maruti car was stolen from Arera Colony. The complainant, Jinendra Kumar Jain, resident of E-2/14 had parked his car MP 04/D-0575 outside the house at night.

In the morning he found the car missing and lodged a complaint with the police. The Habibganj police are investigating the matter. In another incident, the motorcycle of Rakesh Kumar Singh, resident of Bairagarh, was lifted. The vehicle bearing the registration number MP 04/8403 is estimated to cost around Rs 15,000.

Meanwhile, unidentified youths smashed a car on VIP Road near Koh-e-Fiza on Friday night. Police said the complainant, Varun Verma, was moving in his car when four unidentified youths waved at him to stop the car. He complied but the youths suddenly began smashing his car.

He somehow managed to escape and informed the police. A case has been registered against unidentified miscreants.   In yet another incident, three persons barged into a house and beat up the complainant, Avadh Narayan Lodhi, resident of Nishatpura on Friday night. The accused, Virendra and two others have been booked.
