The National General Secretary of Samajwadi Party and MP Beni Prasad Verma on Sunday alleged that few police officers posted in Bahraich and Labour Minister Dr Wakar Ahmed Shah used to supply girls to senior officers.
In the press conference held at his residence, Beni said the Additional Superintendent of Police Hira Lal raped Gudiya in his house. Gudiya Pathak is the president of Samajwadi Party Women Cell of Ekauna Vidhan Sabha area (Bahraich).
Lal continued the sexual exploitation of Gudiya for six months. "I lodged a complaint with Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav six months ago and told him that Lal was a corrupt officer and should be transferred immediately. But the CM told me that Lal was an efficient officer and should be given an opportunity to amend his ways," he said.
"Waqar Ahmed Shah, Hira Lal, a police inspector and an in-charge of police station used to trap girls belonging to poor families and supply them to senior officers in various districts," Beni said.
Continuing his attack on the Minister, Beni said Shah had not even passed high school. His father was a safai karamachari and today, Shah is a billionaire. "The state government should set an inquiry how this minister made fortune," he said.
"To sabotage my Kurmi rally organised at Laxman Mela ground on January 11, one of my ardent supporters Ram Bhulan Verma was killed by the henchman of Waqar in Bahraich," Beni said.
"On January 12, five buses load of people arrived at State SP office and alleged that one Ram Harsh Yadav a government lawyer in working in Bahraich district court was not involved in the murder case. Chief Minister contacted me on mobile and told me that Yadav was innocent I told the CM to set up an inquiry to find the truth," he added.
"I also informed the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Relief Commissioner about the embezzlement of fund by Chief Development Officer (CDO) Somnath Bind released by the state government for flood relief. But due to protection of the officers by Waqar, no action was taken against the CDO.
"The SP MLA from Bahraich Sadar, Dileep Verma had been threatened by Waqar. Earlier he was close associate of former Union Minister Arif Mohammad Khan and had condemned the Muslim ulema during the Shahbano case hearing in the Supreme Court. I hope that CM will take action against the erring Minister," Beni said.
"I want to save the party if people like Waqar continue on the post then SP would suffer humiliation in the coming Vidhan Sabha election."
Beni informed that he would participate in the Muslim Sammelan organised under the chairmanship of SP MP Atiq Ahmed at Sultanpur opn February 15.
Gudiya Pathak told media persons that her brother in law (brother of husband) had captured their house. She went to Additional Superintendent of Police Hira Lal to lodge a complain.
Lal lured her to his residence and raped her. "My sexual exploitation continued for six months." She lodged a complaint with the chairman of the State Women Commission Ranjana Bajpai. Though Bajpai ordered an inquiry but due to the interference of Waqar, the order of Bajpai remained limited to papers.
"Both Waqar and Lal threatened me on mobile phone and later requested for a compromise. But my husband and I decided to expose them before the public. I tried to meet the Chief Minister, but in vain."
"Both Additional SP and CDO have been transferred by the government but instead of punishment they have got prime posting at Kanpur," Beni rued.
