VHP celebrates golden jubilee with pledge to build Ram temple

india Updated: Jan 19, 2015 03:23 IST

The VHP celebrated its golden jubilee calling upon caste Hindus to befriend Dalits, end untouchability for ‘Hindu unity’ and procreate to ensure that Hindus don’t lose the population race to Muslims.

“Each Hindu should produce at least eight children as the eighth one would be Krishna who would end injustice,” said Kanhaiya Das, the Ayodhya seer.

Another seer Rahghavacharya claimed that even lord Krishna had 16,008 wives and had ten kids from each one of them to justify the ‘more kids to defeat Muslims’ rhetoric. Reconverting Muslims and Christians to Hinduism was also strongly stressed.

VHP President Praveen Togadia said that there was nothing wrong in embracing those who were lured by either money or muscle.

“We are against conversions per se and want a strong law against it as Hindus have suffered more than anyone else due to forced conversions by Christians and Muslims,” he said.

Togadia accused Muslims of indulging in ‘love jihad, land jihad, population jihad and bomb jihad’ and said that though VHP is celebrating its golden jubilee, the real celebration would happen when Ram temple comes up in Ayodhya.

“We won’t rest until a temple comes up,” he said without answering if VHP had set any timeline for the Narendra Modi government.
