VHP meet to focus on religious conversions

The issue of religious conversions will top the agendas when the VHP meeting begins on Sept 15 in Ayodhya.
The issue of religious conversions would be top on the agenda of a three-day meeting of Vishwa Hindu Parishad meeting beginning at Rameshwar on September 15, its spokesman said on Monday.
Protection against conversion and attempt to bring back those already converted would be the major issues taken up at the meeting to be attended by top VHP leaders, the spokesman Sharad Sharma said.

He said Hindu organisations would have to formulate a strategy to counter conversions as it posed a "serious danger to the integrity of the country".
Sharma said the VHP would be undertaking construction of temples, schools and hostels in parts of the country to ensure welfare of those who had chosen to return to the Hindu fold.
