Security has been tightened in Tamil Nadu with special vigil on places where people conglomerate in view of the blasts in Hyderabad on Saturday.
"Bus stands, airports, railway stations and other places where people move in large numbers will be kept under check and security has also been beefed up at these places," state Director General of Police D Mukherjee said.
Intense checking of vehicles and lodges were also underway as a precautionary measure, he added.
In Chennai, checkposts had been set up in and around the city while night vigil had been stepped up. "Vehicle check is on at all places, including the entry points of the city," Police Commissioner D Nanchil Kumaran said.
