A Vigilance Court will hear a corruption case filed against former Jharkhand Agriculture Minister and JMM MLA Nalin Soren on February six.
Judge A K Singh fixed the date yesterday after admitting the complaint filed by a resident of Ranchi, Vineet Kachchap, which levelled twin charges of corruption and earning more than known source of income against Nalin and former Agriculture Director Nestar Minz.
Nalin was one of the ministers in the erstwhile Shibu Soren government.
Incidentally, before putting in his papers as Chief Minister earlier this month, Shibu Soren had dropped former ministers Enos Ekka and Harinarain Rai from his cabinet in December citing lodging of FIR by the Vigilance police station against the duo in a similar case.
The JMM supremo had on January 27 projected Nalin as one of the two party MLAs the central leadership could choose from, with the other being Salkhan Soren, in a move to break the deadlock among the UPA allies over the choice of Shibu Soren's successor in the President's rule-bound Jharkhand.
