Vijay Club lifts Indore Bank ?A? trophy

HURRICANE 119 by Jitendra Likhar helped Vijay Club to lift the coveted Indore Bank Trophy ‘A’ grade cricket tournament organized by Indore Divisional Cricket Association being played at ITI grounds recently. In the finals Vijay Club defeated stronghold CCI by 47 runs.

Vijay Club batsmen justified their captain’s decision to bat first. Jitendra Likhar blasted all the bowlers mercilessly to score 119 in 118 ball with 12 boundaries and two sixes while Mayank Jain 40, Sandeep Dhaigude 28. Pinkesh Gurbakshani and Manjeet Singh captured two wickets each for 25 and 45 runs respectively.

In reply CCI scored 185 in 35.1 overs and lost the match by 47 rus. Himalay Sagar batted well to score 55 while Ashish Agarwal 39, Nitin Menon scored unbeaten 24 while Avijit Verma scored 22.

Siddesh Titotkar bowled brilliantly to capture four wickets for 35 runs while Jitendra Likhar after scoring brilliant century took two wickets for 34 runs to help their team to lift the coveted trophy.

State Wrestling competition held
THE INDOE Corporation Wrestling Association had arranged one-day state wrestling competition at Emerald Heights International School on Sunday for various weight groups.

About 100 wrestlers took part in the competition and the Emerald Heights International School director Muktesh Singh presented tracksuits to all the participants.

Arbaj, Vijay Ghavri, Jitendra Srivas, Komal Kaushal, Krishna Gaud and Imran Ali won the first position in 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 75+ kgs weight categories.

Emerald Heights International School Director Muktesh Singh was the chief guest and distributed the prizes to winners while M P Tennis Association secretary Anil Duper presided over the function along with former Olympian wrestler Pappu Yadav.
ILAVA, Vaishnav, SPG, Saify enter 3rd round

ILAVA SCHOOL, Vaishnav, SPG Academy, Saify won their respective matches to sail in to third round in the 5th Leeladevi Jadhav memorial Indore district senior ball badminton tournament organized by Indore district ball badminton association.

Earlier Corporator Rajendra Jaiswal was the chief guest and inaugurated the tournament, Durgesh Shukla,Rajesh Bagora and Prashant Mahant were present during the occasion.

Sports week from Dec 27
SPORTS WEEK in memory of Kailash Vyas, jointly organized by Indore Press Club and Indore Municipal Corporation would begin from December 27.

Cricket, Carrom, Badminton, Table Tennis and Chess would be held the teams from IMC, Media, Bar Association, Telephone Department, Income Tax Department and Sales Tax Department would take part in the sports meet, about 200 players from various discipline would be in action.
