A 46-year-old woman was allegedly thrashed by three villagers here after she confronted the trio for harassing her daughter, police said on Monday.

The incident took place last evening in Dehere village of Murbad when victim Savita Deshmukh went to talk to the accused-- Sukhdev Chirate, Rajesh Deshmukh and Yogesh Chirate--over alleged harassment of her daughter by them for quite some time, they said.

The accused roughed up the woman, following which she filed a complaint.

They also attacked her children, who reached there to rescue her, police said.

The trio has been charged under various Sections of the IPC. However, no arrests have been made so far, they said.
