Villagers block Jammu-Pathankote highway

About 150 villagers sat on a dharna on the highway at Barnoti, 70-kms from Jammu and blocked traffic for about an hour, official sources said here.
Residents of Barnoti village in the district today blocked the Jammu-Pathankote highway for an hour to protest alleged failure of police in nabbing the culprits involved in the attack on a youth.
About 150 villagers sat on a dharna on the highway at Barnoti, 70-kms from Jammu and blocked traffic for about an hour, official sources said here.

They said that the villagers were agitating against the delay in nabbing those involved in the attack on Gurvinder Singh.
Singh was stabbed by unknown assailants last week.
The crowd dispersed after Station House officer (SHO) Kathua K D Bhagat assured them of speedy action in the case.
