Two People’s Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA) members were caught in Balidiha in West Midnapore district and handed over to the police on Sunday, a senior police officer said.

ASP of Jhargram Mukesh Kumar said some PCAPA members went to Balidiha village to hold a meeting. They told the villagers to attend the meet but instead of attending the meeting the villagers attacked them.

Most of the PCAPA members fled when the villagers attacked them. But two of them were caught by the villagers and kept confined in the village school, the ASP said.

The villagers informed the police who arrested the duo and brought them to Jamboni police station for interrogation.
