Virbhadra to attend I-Day function in Mandi

Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh will preside over a state-level Independence Day function in Mandi on August 15. A government spokesperson said health and family welfare minister Kaul Singh Thakur, excise and taxation minister Prakash Chaudhary, rural development and panchayati raj minister Anil Sharma and chief parliamentary secretary (CPS) Sohan Lal Thakur would attend the function in Mandi.

Vidhan Sabha speaker BBL Butail will preside over the district-level function in Bilaspur, irrigation and public health minister Vidya Stokes in Shimla, civil supplies and consumer affairs minister GS Bali in Hamirpur, MPP and power minister Sujan Singh Pathania in Dharamsala, forest minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri in Chamba, and industry minister Mukesh Agnihotri in Una.

Urban development minister Sudhir Sharma will preside over the district-level function in Kullu, social justice and empowerment minister Col (retd) Dhani Ram Shandil in Solan, Vidhan Sabha deputy speaker Jagat Singh Negi in Reckong Peo (Kinnaur), and CPSes Vinay Kumar in Nahan (Sirmour) and ID Lakhanpal at Keylong (Lahaul-Spiti).
