THE PRINCIPAL Secretary of the Water Resources Department Arvind Joshi has directed officers concerned to visit field to prepare technical proposals for the modernisation of dams and canals under the MP Water Sector Restructuring Project. The directive from the PS came during a meeting on the project held today.

The experts of the project are expected to visit the office of the chief engineer at each basin and coordinate with the regional officers to give final shape to the technical proposals. The proposals should be prepared in such a way that there is no problem in getting approval from the World Bank.

The regional officers of the Water Resources Department have been provided special training to prepare the technical proposals and assisting material fro scheme modernisation plan has also been provided to them.
