Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra has directed the district authorities to ensure proper logistical arrangements besides a foolproof communication network during the polls in the border state.
The direction was given by the Governor during meetings with district administration officials while his visit to Budgam yesterday, official sources said on Monday.
They said the Governor also reviewed the security situation in view of polls.
The Governor directed the administration to ensure all logistical arrangements during the polls, foolproof communication network, adequate medicare facilities besides the availability of rations.
Vohra, who has been personally visiting each districts, completed his tours to nine of the ten districts in the Kashmir Division. Earlier, he visited Leh, Kargil and Poonch districts for on-the-spot-reviews.
At Budgam, the Governor reviewed the overall security situation and took stock of the restoration of various utility services in the wake of the recent snow-fall, the sources said.
He said Vohra held separate meetings with the district officers and the officers of the civil administration, police, Central Police and the Army to review the development issues and the security situation in the district.
District Development Commissioner Mohammed Rafi briefed the Governor about various measures taken up in the district.
