Voice reservations within party forum: Mulayam to Azam
Facing heat over his cosying up to once Hindutva icon Kalyan Singh especially from his party's Muslim activists, SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav asked senior leader Azam Khan to raise his objections and doubts on the matter within the party forum.
Facing heat over his cosying up to once Hindutva icon Kalyan Singh especially from his party's Muslim activists, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday asked senior leader Azam Khan to raise his objections and doubts on the matter within the party forum.
"Doubts and concerns over any issue should be raised in the party forum. Azam Khan should also voice his objections at the party's state executive to be convened soon," Yadav told reporters here.
"Utterances against the party before the media and outside is not proper," the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said.
Apparently unhappy over the new-found bonhomie between Mulayam Singh Yadav and Kalyan Singh, Khan, an MLA, has been keeping away from party functions.
He is also not attending the ongoing session of the Uttar Pradesh state assembly.
Besides, Khan is reportedly miffed over party's decision to renominate sitting MP Jaya Prada from his home turf Rampur.
