Claiming that he and his party wanted to save people from clutches of terrorism, BJP president Rajnath Singh said that NDA should be voted to power 'for security of the country from terrorists.'

Addressing a large election meeting for BJP candidate from Jalgaon A T Patil onA T Patil Sunday night, Singh said, "I have come here for your votes to save our country from the hands of terrorists."

Singh then began his attack on Opposition Congress party by criticising them for failing to keep a check on various other issues like corruption, price rise of essential commodities and the black money stashed away in tax havens.

"The economic system of the country has collapsed, corruption is on the rise and prices of essential commodities have been hiked, which was not the case when Atal Behari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister", Rajnath, contesting from Ghaziabad Parliamentary seat told the gathering.

He accused the UPA of appeasing Muslims and claimed that the coalition government had not carried out the execution of Parliament attack case Afzal Guru so that it could maintain its Muslim vote bank.
