Singh must sing a different song if he wants to redeem his image
With reference to Varghese K George’s article The medicine man (October 17 ), I think supporting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will not serve any purpose because the majority of people feels that he is not performing well. It’s true that the circumstances he now finds himself in are difficult, but with the kind of experience he has under his belt, Singh should have handled the problems much better. The fruits of India’s social democratic development have been cornered by a few people and the only way out of the mess is to bring back the money they have stashed away in Swiss banks. If Singh can to do this, he’ll redeem himself in the eyes of the people.

Cracks don’t portend a split
The editorial Differential calculus (The Pundit, October 17) rightly points out that we should not start predicting the end of Team Anna just because there are differences among its members on certain issues. As far as the crusade against corruption is concerned, the team is focused and on the job.
