Germany-based Volkswagen and Japanese auto major Toyota are considering increasing the prices of its products to offset impact of the rupee depreciation.

"We have to increase our prices soon," said Arvind Saxena, MD, Volkswagen Group Sales India Ltd adding that the company "might take a final call around September 10."

Sandeep Singh, CEO, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said that the company which had recently upped the prices of its Fortuner and Camry models by 1% "may have to follow it up" with others such as Innova, Etios and Liva.
