Warren, nephew of State Public Works Department Minister Churchill Alemao, deposed before the State police on Tuesday in the sensational rape case involving 14-year- old minor German girl.

Warren along with State Education Minister Atanasio Monserratte's son Rohit has been charged of raping German girl. The German girl's mother has accused so.

The 22-year-old elder son of Alemao family appeared at Calangute police station today at 3.45 pm and was closeted with Police Inspector Tushar Vernekar for almost one-and-a- half hours where his statement was recorded.

"My client came here as he was summoned and has given his statement. He is innocent and is facing the case because of his relations with Alemao, who is doing good for Goa," Warren's lawyer Mike Mehta told reporters outside Calangute police station.

After initial accusations against Rohit, the German mother had alleged that Warren too had sexually exploited the girl.

Warren was quick enough to refute the allegations before media but refrained from making any statement before press today when he emerged from the police station.

Goa police in the past have clarified that they will execute any arrests in this case only after the German girl deposes before the authorities or allows the medical examination be conducted.

The matter has been taken suo motto cognizance by the high court which has directed the State government to file additional affidavit on November 4.

The case would be heard before Goa Bench of Bombay high court on November 5.
