We can win 10 to 15 seats in Karnataka: Kumaraswamy
"We would win around 10 to 15 seats in Karnataka in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections" former state chief minister HD Kumaraswamy told reporters.
JD(S) on Saturday claimed that it would win around 10 to 15 seats in Karnataka in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
“My realistic assessment is that we can win 10 to 15 seats in Karnataka during the Lok Sabha polls,” former state chief minister HD Kumaraswamy told reporters in New Delhi.
JD(S) currently has two Lok Sabha seats from Karnataka out of the total 26. Kumaraswamy’s father and party chief H D Deve Gowda is one of the two MPs.
Kumaraswamy, who was in New Delhi to attend the party’s national executive meeting, said that though he is yet to make up his mind, there is immense pressure on him from within the party to contest the Lok Sabha elections.
“Though I have not decided on it yet, there is a feeling in the party that I should contest the coming general elections. I will take a call on it soon,” he said.
Criticising the B S Yedyurappa-led BJP government in the state, Kumaraswamy said that there is hardly any government there.
“Ever since the BJP came to power in Karnataka, they have failed to provide a model government there,” he said.
