It has been a wonderful last few days for us at Mumbai Indians, with comprehensive wins at home against the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

It was satisfying to see the way we went about executing our plans in both the matches. Also, we have defeated Chennai and Kolkata both home and away, which is an achievement given where these two sides finished last year, and the two big wins at the Wankhede have gone a long way towards boosting our net run rate as well.

We don't fancy looking at the points table, but it is inevitable that you are in the know of how things are panning out. There is a scramble for qualification places and there is the distinct possibility of the net run rate coming into the picture.

With these two big wins, we have gone a long way towards making up for winning narrowly in the early part of the season, which is again good news with the end of the tournament less than three weeks away.

I was impressed with the manner in which we defended 140 against Chennai at a venue where the par score has been in the 170-180 region. When you have a left-arm fast bowler bowling at 140 kmph and more and swinging the ball into the right-hander, he is a dangerous proposition, and that is exactly what Mitchell was against Chennai.
