Neelu Jawade said that the workshop aimed at providing suggestions and guidance to women on dressing for parties, engagement and marriage ceremonies and office purpose. VLCC Indore Beauty incharge Vishal Mudgal rendered a make-up to the participants at the workshop.
The suggestions varied according to the complexion, face cut, features and skin type of the person. Vishal explained about the cosmetics that must be used for different occasions.
He spoke about the colours to be used on fair, dusky and dark complexions and gave a demonstration of complete bridal make-up. Special attention was paid to the part about eye makeup.
The eye makeup is done in matching colours of the costume worn, said Vishal. The bridal make-up is more about removing or concealing the flaws in skin and to bring out the natural beauty, he added.
The other session included demonstration on bridal wear. Two models were dressed for marriage and engagement ceremonies. According to Neelu, lot of experimentation and fusion is possible for the engagement party as it is a closed affair.
For this occasion, lehengas with fish cut or frills or even jackets teamed with sharas could be worn. The work popular for this wedding season is lot of antique and stonework on fabrics such as silk cotton and chiffon, she said. The girls were at the workshop were given personalised solutions for wedding outfits based on their height, weight, body type and looks.
