When we talk about star-struck fans and the heights of frenzy they are capable of causing, Bollywood fans top the list. In the past, many actors have had to struggle to get out of situations after being faced with a mob that wants nothing more than a glimpse of their favourite star.

We’ve been told that in a recent occurrence of this kind, Akshay Kumar had quite a hard time shooting for his next, Boss, in Delhi. He was shooting near the Jama Masjid in the capital, when a huge crowd surrounded him.

A source present on the sets says, “Akshay’s fans went berserk. He couldn’t relax or even take a break between takes. That’s when an old local couple came to his rescue.” They offered to accompany Akshay to their home nearby. The source adds, “They offered Akshay a room for him to relax after the shoot. He politely took up their offer."

The source adds that the old man and woman were fans of Akshay’s films. They offered him delicacies and made sure he was comfortable. Ask Akshay about this and he says, “It was a heart-warming experience for me. The couple was so warm. Times like these make everything you strived for seem worthwhile. The best part of working in this industry is that you get so much love and affection from people who don’t even know you."
