Superstars of two different worlds came together on Wednesday when Amitabh Bachchan met Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

And the most surprising part of it was that neither knew they would be meeting the other.

Amitabh was shooting in Film City for a Bhojpuri film Ganga when he came to know that Dhoni was in the same premises shooting for a commercial.

A "die-hard" Dhoni fan, Bachchan called up his co-star in the movie Manoj Tiwary, who also happens to be the cricketer's brother-in-law.

Tiwary, in turn, called up Dhoni. And the hard-hitting batsman promptly went to meet the Bollywood legend.

When Dhoni was finally face to face with Bachchan, he said, "I have idolised only two persons since my childhood. One is Sachin Tendulkar and the other is Amitabh Bachchan.

"I am now playing with Tendulkar, and today I got a chance to meet you as well. I will always cherish this day of my life."

Bachchan, on his part replied, "I am your die-hard fan. I was desperate to meet you."
