Wife unable to conceive
1. I am 28 and got married in February 2002. My wife was using a contraceptive pill (Triquilar) untill December 2002. January 2003 onwards she is trying to conceive but has been unsuccessful. I have certain doubts. We are using KY-Liquid as a lubricant during intercourse. Does this affect my wife's chances of getting pregnant? I read somewhere that egg white can be used as a vaginal lubricant. Is this true? Since my wife is not getting wet naturally, can I use some lubricant, which does not affect her chances of getting pregnant? Can you suggest a suitable one? Please clarify my doubts.
Male organ hurts
2. I am 32-year-old married guy. I have a problem in my organ. Sometimes, during sex with my wife, a nerve at the tip of the penis becomes red and hurts when I touch it. But after few days, it becomes normal. This has been happening from the last 2-3 years. This also happens when I masturbate. What could be the reason?

'I get aroused in sleep'
1. I am a 25-year-old man, getting married next year. I have a big problem that my penis is bent towards its right. Second problem is that when I tried having intercourse with my girlfriend, I didn't succeed though I get aroused during sleep. What is the reason? Will my sex life be pleasurable? Help me out.
Reply From Dr. Prem Lata Chawla: There is no difference between sexual intercourse with a girlfriend or a wife. As you have experienced difficulty with having sex with a girl friend you are likely to experience the same with your wife. It is time for a medical check-up and to seek help from a sex specialist.
Wife doesn't sleep for days
2. My wife who is 37 has the problem of sleeplessness from last eight years. She does not sleep for more than 5-6 hours in a week. Sometimes, she stays awake for 2-3 days at a stretch. We have consulted many doctors but in vain. The situation seems to be leading nowhere. Can you suggest a way out?
Reply From Dr. Prem Lata Chawla: There is no disease, which produces sleeplessness for so long a period as 8 years without causing damage to mental and physical health. A few days sleeplessness is enough to cause insanity and not just a headache, however severe. This sort of history is usually presented by persons who have no disease but some situational maladjustment caused either by attitudinal or personality problems of self or of significant others living with them. The problem your wife is presenting has to be re-evaluated by a competent psychiatrist with special interest in family or marriage related problems.
