Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Tuesday evening said the party would decide on June 25 on whom to support for the presidential elections, but ruled out supporting President APJ Abdul Kalam, whose name is being proposed by the third front as its nominee.
"The party will decide on June 25 on whom to support," he said addressing party workers at Dadar in central Mumbai on the 40th anniversary of the party.
"It is very difficult to decide," he said, adding, "There is no question of supporting Kalam."
He also came down heavily on Kalam for what he termed his indecision on deciding on the hanging of Parliament attack accused Mohammed Afzal Guru.
The presidential elections are due on July 19.
