State Education Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil on Wednesday said his department has decided to go ahead with the online admissions for junior colleges, as planned.
“The government has not made any announcement so the system announced earlier will be continued. There is good response from the colleges too,” said Vikhe-Patil.
After legislators expressed apprehensions that the online system would create confusion among the students and parents, Chief Minister Ashok Chavan said the state would ensure manual admission where the online facility would not be possible.
Vikhe-Patil will meet legislators to explain the system on Friday. He told HT the details will be unveiled on June 9 and can be viewed on the same on the website from the next day.
