With winters round the corner, what sort of looks should one start stocking in their closets.

Layering is the coolest thing, back this season. Pile up different coloured pieces to carry-off the look. Keep in mind that you must make it look effortless.
For example, team a waistcoat with a funky shirt. Boho-layering is best for petite. Draw attention to the shoulders with well-cut jackets. You could team this with slouchy shorts and boots.
Pencil skirts and mini skirts are doing the rounds this season. You can team a printed or a solid colour skirt with neutral shells. Works well for office wear, too. Throw in a smart sweater or a soft semi-fit top and a trench.
Easy-chic is the order of the day. Slouchy pants in heavy fabric put together with soft structured waist-length jackets and jersey or silk blouses. The look borders on androgyny. Slouchy pants are best for those with curvy bottoms but a good height. Make sure the fabric is not thin and clingy, or else the effect of the silhouette will be reverse.
Dresses and tunics worn with trench coats and strappy platform or wedge heels makes the perfect picture. If you have a small frame, go for a long coat and if you have a heavier body, look for one with a slight flare.
Try out the cape this season. It is not just a cover-up for top-heavy women but also creates a beautiful T-silhouette, especially when worn with slim bottoms. Wear them with matching coloured pants or skirts. Never team the cape with wide leg trouser or big skirts.
