Wockhardt Hospitals is expanding its super-speciality hospital business in the country. The healthcare major is setting up a large multi-speciality hospital in Nagpur.

Wockhardt has already proposed two hospitals in Mumbai other than its existing setup in the city. The company would invest close to Rs 50 crore in the new hospital. The company has plans to put up 29 more such hospitals across the country in the coming months.

The super-speciality hospital business in the country is split between four major players Apollo Hospitals, Escorts, Wockhardt and Max. Wockhardt Hospitals are present in Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Nagpur.
