Forget the glass ceiling and women’s rights, this Women’s Day is all about freebies and gift coupons. To mark International Women’s Day, which will be celebrated across the world tomorrow, Delhi stores and service providers have pulled out all the stops to make women feel special, offering gift coupons, special Women’s Day clothing ranges, huge discounts on jewellery and at restaurants.



Restaurateur Sohrab Sitaram of Tabula Rasa says, “Women will be treated with a glass of wine and, on all ladies tables, there will be a discount of 25 per cent.” F Bar & Lounge is giving free entry to women and their spouses and have lined up DJs; Olive Beach is serving complimentary desserts and a painting session by women artists with gifts and special discounts.



Restaurateur Rummy Sharma of Pure By Kuki says, “Drinks are free and unlimited on Women’s Day.” Lap Garden and Kylin will offer free fresh fruit Martinis and complimentary drinks to all women. Women can watch any movie free of cost tomorrow at BIG Cinemas. The movies on offer include

Aura at The Park Hotel is offering fruit-based treatments and a 20 per cent discount on all Women’s Day packages. Designer duo Manu and Mamta of Bella Ragazza have designed a discounted ‘Pink Sari’ collection. “We want to spread awareness of breast cancer among women on this day.”



Multi-brand designer fashion store White is offering 10% discount on selected merchandise while jewellery designer Anuradha Chhabra is offering her solitaire collection at a special price. Paromita Das, 25 a law student at DU says, “I wasn’t so excited, but my hostel mates are so pepped up that I too am joining the wild ride.”
