WRESTLING COMPETITION for men and women in memory of Vishnu Ustad will be held on February 16 on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. The event is organised by Late Kishan Rao Ustad Vyayamshala.

Leading wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and host Madhya Pradesh are taking part in the competition that will begin from 4 pm onwards.  Yuviraj Ustad said that all arrangements have been made and Indore public will be watching interesting bouts from the leading wrestlers for all over India.

PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvergiya will inaugurate the competition and city BJP president Ramesh Mendola will preside over the function.

Bank of India sports week
SOURABH SHAH won the chess title in the Bank of India sports week inter-department chess competition organised by Bank of India. In the final, Sourabh beat Kuamar Naidu to bag the title. Earlier, Bank’s zonal manager R C Khurana inaugurated the ‘Sports Week’. B M Bhandarkar and J K Bhargav presided over the function.

Sourabh to lead MP handball team

SOURABH DEVRARI will lead the Madhya Pradesh boy’s handball team to the 33rd National Games being organised at Guwahati from February 14.

The other members of the team are: Jagpal Singh, Ravi Kumar, P Takkar, Venkat Rao, Jay Singh, Praveen Kumar, B N Singh, Krishna Jharia, Vinay Sahu, Laxman Datir, PLM Vamshi, Rashimt Singh Gandhi, Amit Rajak, Bharat Pande and Krishna. Dr Manish Jaiswal and Haldhar will be the coach and manager of the team.

State-level cricket tournament
The state-level cricket tournament for the teams of engineering collges began at Radharaman Institute of Technology and Science (RITS) at Bhopal on Monday.

The tournament is being organised under the series of VIHAN-07. Former international cricketer Amay Khurasiya and Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) Chairman Dhruv Narayan Singh inaugurated the tournament.

Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the efforts of the organisers for providing opportunity to the engineering students to demonstrate their talent. BDA Chairman Dhruv Narayan Singh in his announced that Bhopal Divisional Cricket Association (BDCA) will organise a state level open cricket tournament at the RITS College.
