Private sector lender Yes Bank on Wednesday said its net profit ratcheted 95.04 per cent to Rs 105.79 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal.
The bank had a net profit of Rs 54.24 crore in the December quarter of financial year 2008, Yes Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income rose to Rs 726.15 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2008 from Rs 443.18 crore a year ago.
While, for the nine-month period ended December 31, Yes Bank registered a net profit of Rs 223.73 crore, a 65 per cent growth over the same period a year ago. It had a net profit of Rs 135.52 crore in the same period last year.
Total income rose to Rs 1,782.27 crore in the period under review from Rs 1,171.05 crore last fiscal.
Even as the benchmark index was trading in the negative territory, Yes Bank was up 0.14 per cent from its previous close and was trading at Rs 71.60 in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
