A PROGRAMME was organised at Kasturba College of Nursing, BHEL to mark the inauguration of a yoga training programme for students.
General Manager (TBG and Business Excellence) and President, BHEL Shiksha Mandal, R K Shukla inaugurated the programme by lighting a traditional lamp and garlanding the picture of Swami Anand Saraswati from Munger School of Yoga.
Shukla talked about the therapeutic uses of yoga and said it had originated from India but Indians started believing it only when western countries started practicing the art and science of yoga.
Earlier, Kasturba College of Nursing incharge Dr Renu Rawal, gave details of the yoga training package being arranged for all students of the college. Dr Rawal said faulty life style, food habits and lack of physical activities make our lives artificial and prone to diseases. Practice of Yoga can rejuvenate our natural health and beauty, she added.
Yoga teachers –Amrit Bindu and Pratima - were welcomed by the teachers and the staff of the college. They said yoga was not just Asanas and Pranayams but much more than that. The training, they said would definitely bring a positive change in the lives of students and prepare them for a better tomorrow.
Senior BHEL officers including M K Shakya, V K Jain, Dr K N Pandey, S K Patil were also present on the occasion. The programme was attended by all teachers and students of the college and was a great success.
