Hindustan Times, on April 18, launched a year-long campaign, 'You Read, They Learn' (YRTL). HT has committed to contribute 5 paise from every Metro copy in Delhi-NCR to help educate underpriviliged children.

Through this simple and powerful idea, readers will be able to reach out to over 1 million children in Delhi-NCR, and help them take their first step towards an education.

President Pratibha Patil last Wednesday appreciated the initiative taken by Hindustan Times.

"I am happy to know that Hindustan Times has taken up an initiative 'You Read, They Learn' to ensure that every underprivileged child gets an education she deserves. I strongly believe that education has the potential to transform a person's life and realise his or her true potential," she said.

You can download a copy of the beginner's text book here, print it, and give it to an underprivilged child.
